MAINTAINING YOUR HOME'S CARPETS

Carpeted floors can be one of the most difficult parts of the home to maintain. With foot traffic, pet traffic, spills and messes constantly wearing on your rugs’ soft surface, keeping them fresh and clean is an ongoing battle.
Here are a few tips for protecting and maintaining the carpeted spaces in your home.
Vacuum Regularly
Dirt and grime can work their way deep into carpet fibers and cause discoloration and odor if left untended for too long. Daily vacuuming of all of your home’s carpeted surfaces will help eliminate dirt, spills and odors that

the amount of dirt making its way into your carpets.
Minimize Traffic Impact to Retain Texture
Give the floor coverings in high traffic areas a break. Place small area carpets in front of the most-used pieces of furniture around the house, and clean them regularly. Periodically rearrange the furniture to shift the traffic patterns
in the room, and even out the wear to your carpet caused by heavy sofas and tables. Restore indented carpet areas created by heavy furniture by dampening carpet and using a hair dryer to heat and dry the fibers back into place.
Tend to Stains Right Away
